Above Cabinet Distressed Chalkboard

I’ll admit it. I’m a little obsessed with chalkboards right now.

Why, you may ask?

Because they are awesome.

And easy.

And you can literally transform anything into a chalkboard…..almost anything.

I took another kitchen cabinet and turned it into a chalkboard.

I was going for a pretty distressed look. I painted the frame black and then basically scraped the paint off and sanded the crap out of it.

I like the heavy destructed look.

I wrote names of unique names of dishes at a Cajun Restaurant.  Well, they’re unique to me, a Mid-western girl.

Bricks are great to put items on that you want to display at the top of your cabinets.
