It’s that time of year again.
Bowls, measuring cups, cookie cutters, mixers, rolling pins are brought out and Holiday cooking ensues.
Breads, cookies, muffins, brownies, & cakes are made and devoured.
Baking is mathematical. You measure ingredients, mix them up, and as long as you read your recipe right it always comes out the same.
That’s why I like baking so much I think.
This is a Banana Bread recipe I found on-line but tweaked it to my liking and made it a little more healthier:
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. applesauce
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. all purpose flour
3/4 c. wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sour cream
2 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Cream butter and sugar. Add applesauce, eggs and vanilla. Mix. Combine flour, soda, cinnamon and salt. Add to wet ingredients and stir until smooth. Fold in sour cream and bananas. Bake in a 9×5 loaf pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Let cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
Hope you all like this yummy Banana Bread!
